There is no such thing as accident; it is fate misnamed

I had the first middle-of -road adventure on 11th march 2006.. I have always crossed the road carelessly, jumped in front of vehicles, heard very good non-dictionary literature and phrases (the std one being have you told good bye to your parents before leaving home) .......... but always escaped somehow. But this time I was caught and that too when there was no mistake on my side.. Something like Murphy's law :-)

I was on my way to the British Libraryto return the books(btb the duedate was march 11, and i have still not returned them, so planning to apply for a loan to pay fine!!!). I usually take a bus since I am not a millionnaire yet to pay the bangalore autowallas, but on 11th saturday I took an auto......... why? coz I had to have a accident, simple. When I reached the destination, i had a chit chat with the driver, since he wanted a multiple of the actual amount(I literally had to tell him that i am not planning to buy his auto :-( )I . Anyways I won the argument but before I could get out completely, he srated off leaving me dancing to find balance. After 1-2 seconds of hi-fi gymnastics, i gave up and fell flat on to the busy road. Meanwhile another autodriver was kind enough to give me one more sweet hit. I think I became semi-unconscious , because I dont remember what happened after that. I was informed that i got up even after the second hit and walked heroically to the middle of the road to recieve my last quota from a Tata Indica(I am happy that after 2 autos , I was hit by a standard vehicle), leaving me totally unconscious on the middle of the road. The Indica passengers were really kind enough to take me to the nearby hospital.

I really appreciate their gesture........because many people wouldn't do so. They were from Jaipur, who were on a vacation.I think I made their vacation memorable, coz their bank balance was Rs.8000 less when they left the hospital after paying all my bills. They fled from the hospital as soon as they sensed the smell of my friends.

I was royally taken to the Medinova hospital @ infantry road. I was given high priority since I had a car accident and had hit my head badly. I think some 7-8 ppl attended me, giving first aid, scanning, stiching and what not. But by God's grace and the thick skin which i aquired over years, there was nothing serious. I just lost some paint , bruises, stiches .......

I went home on satuday night itself. I did not feel much problem and felt I will be alright in 2 days, unaware of what was in store for me. When I woke up next day morning, I could not move an inch and it was paining all over and my face had swollen so much that i could not even open my eyes.

My Mom came from my native place and stayed with me for a week. The best part of the accident was that I could stay with my Mom for a week, eating excellent food, after a looooooooooong time. I also got a 1 week break from my busy office schedule. And last but not the least many of my friends and well wishers called me & came to my house

I'm back at work now......... with a few signs of wear & tear. I dont know If I'm right........ But now I feel the accident was a blessing in disguise.
